Ly Quoc Su Nguyen Minh Khong real name is Nguyen Chi Thanh was born in Dam Xa village, Trang An district (now Dien Xa village, Gia Thang commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province). Zen master Minh Khong was also a famous apothecary of the Ly Dynasty, one of his miracles recorded in history books was to successfully cure King Ly Than Tong's illness, and was conferred as a national teacher. History records him as a politician with many merits to Dai Viet under the Ly dynasty. Being awarded the title of National Master proves the position and importance of a famous figure in the history of Buddhism in Vietnam and at the same time shows that he is a talented statesman.
